Reimagining women’s sport…what do we need to do to change the game?

Online

Former England striker, and recently appointed sporting director for Aston Villa Women, Eni Aluko will join The Drum’s Rebecca Stewart to discuss how we can change the game, along with Iris, Adidas and Barclays who are using marketing to address this challenge in very different ways.

We’ll be asking:

  • Girls can't be what they can't see; what are the main barriers in getting young women to take up sport right now?
  • What is the role of brands in encouraging and championing the next generation of female athletes?
  • Striking the right one – how can advertisers effectively talk to girls? And should they tell the stories of women who are already at the top of their game?
  • How do we build fandoms and get more backing for women’s sports in the long-term?
