Have we got noise for you - meet The Drum's Harlem drumline and learn how they are changing young lives
The Drum audience has always known that marketing can change the world; some of you have even done it. It’s just as true that any emotive experience can spur someone towards that change, and that listening to music can be one of the most emotional times of your life.
We’re celebrating the emotive power of music with a session dedicated to our own drummers: The Marching Cobras, a teenage community program from Manhattan’s Harlem. Cobra Performing Arts initially began with Stowers teaching kids to tap out drumbeats on tables because he didn’t have enough money to buy drums. Now, he’s dreaming of forming a brass and woodwind section with the cash earned from donations and a multitude of corporate gigs.
