Give your business a helping hand towards growth

SMEs are the real drivers of growth, the stars of our industry, and our economy, but they don't always get the attention and focus they deserve.

At too many events, marketers and CEOs at large corporations share insights, that - while interesting - just don't resonate with smaller businesses because budget, headcount, or other factors just don't match up.

That's why The Drum, in partnership with Mailchimp, are hosting a free-to-attend event to champion ambitious businesses, just like you.

You're invited!

Join us for breakfast, where we are bringing together a panel of experts with hands on experience of building and scaling successful businesses to give you practical tips and advice you can implement at your own businesses.

Come along and you will learn how growing businesses are responding to potentially disruptive innovations and business models in the course of increasing digitisation.

We will discuss:

  • What makes a successful SME?
  • How do you solve the small business marketing challenge of investing in new technologies when budgets are tight?
  • How can SMEs effectively harness the power of disruptive tech and creativity?
  • How do growing businesses move up digital ladder amid disruption?

After the panel session, there will be a chance to network over a coffee with peers and industry experts.

Panellists

  • Andrew McLean, joint head of planning, PHD. Andrew is responsible for planning and strategy for PHD's client base.
  • Julie McKeen, ceo, co-founder, Sarka London: Motherhood Without Compromise. Jules has worked at agencies, scaled and sold a multichannel fashion business, been a headhunter and consultant, and is now working on her second startup: Sarka.
  • Ryan Hall, founder, Vaunt London. After working at leading agencies, Ryan is now launching his own perfume brand and a property tech start-up.
  • Palmer Houchins, director of integrated marketing, Mailchimp. Palmer is responsible for all of Mailchimp's advertising, social, email and events marketing and worked on the award-winning "Did you mean Mailchimp?" campaign.
