The growth and development of the Connected TV (CTV) ecosystem is widely regarded as one of the most important developments of recent years. CTVs are powerful distribution vehicles for streaming services and addressable advertising, a source of new data-driven insights for publishers and marketers, a platform for advertising innovation, and an opportunity to support programmatic buying on TV screens.
A vibrant, dynamic new CTV ecosystem is developing, one that can support the growth of the TV industry during the decade ahead – if the barriers to its development in Europe can be addressed.
The European Connected TV Initiative (ECTVI) has been established to assess and evaluate what needs to be done to fully unlock CTV’s potential across Europe, to support the entire advertising ecosystem – buy-side and sell-side. The initiative is being directed by experienced industry advisors Jon Watts and Mary Ann Halford, who will moderate at the event, with support from Google, Roku, Fincons Group and IPONWEB.
On Monday, 2nd November we officially launched this exciting new initiative. Hosted by The Drum, leading industry experts explored the latest developments in the US and European CTV markets, explored the opportunities and challenges ahead, and set out their plans for the initiative.
