How to build your business for sale…and how to look after the proceeds when you do

As an agency owner it’s almost inevitable that you will start to think about the day when you could be in a position to sell.

It may not be in your short-term plans, you may be thinking about what that deal might look like, how to land a deal that’s right financially, right for the company and right for the people involved….it’s a minefield and never too early to plan.

How far ahead should the planning process start? When is the right moment to sell? Is there a danger of waiting too long? How do we market ourselves for sale? How do we know what price is too much or too little? How do we find the right kind of buyer for the company? How do we put the right exit strategies in place? What does it mean to my personal finances?

These are some of the questions we will answer at our next Drum Network CEO Dinner.

Dinner will start with guest speakers from Connor Broadley, a financial planning company that specialise in working with the agency sector, and SI Partners, corporate advisers. The dinner will then be a chance for you to discuss any long term exit plans (or not!) with your agency peers.
