Battle of the Office Bands

Under the right circumstances, music in the workplace has been found to boost productivity and help wellbeing for employees. In November 2019 the World Health Organisation published the most comprehensive review ever conducted on music and wellbeing. The significant benefits to mental and physical health were evident in 3,000 reviewed studies. The report urged decision makers to make more use of music, especially in mental wellbeing programmes.

As a result, The Drum has formed a partnership with an experiential marketing agency, Found in Music, and together plan to create a Battle of the Office Bands competition in 2020 that will take place next year as part of the Music At Work initiative.

Battle of the Office Bands will aim to increase the knowledge of the benefits of music on mental health in the workplace and also hopes to inspire businesses to encourage employees to engage in music participation in the workplace, not only for the mental health benefits but to encourage community and creativity as well.

How do I take part?

If you're interested in taking part, or finding out more about this initiative, fill in your details and we'll be in touch in due course.

When entries are open, bands and choirs will be asked to submit a video entry that will be used by the judges to select a shortlist.

The finalists will then play at a live event during Music At Work Week 2020.

Please, send me some more information on how take part in The Drum’s Battle of the Bands.
