The Drum Speakeasy x Karmarama: Reconnecting Tech

This year at Austin, The Drum and Karmarama will be exploring ‘reconnecting tech’ and how the power of tech can transform generations of voices.

So much of today’s marketing is obsessed with millennials, with advertisers putting a huge value on building long lasting relationships with this. But what does that mean for the older generation? As technology continues to rapidly advance in the digital age, will the older generation’s voice eventually completely diminish? And what impact will that have on society?

Joining the conversation, will be Dr Kate Stone, inspirational TED speaker and creative scientist. Dr Stone will be touching on her experiences of using tech for good in society.

Come and join the debate with Lawrence Webber, managing partner at Karmarama and Dr Kate Stone, in conversation with Drum Studios to hear a fascinating debate around:

  • How tech can be used to help today’s generation.
  • Technology’s role in society: what responsibility do we all have?
  • Older people in the digital age: is data skewed towards the younger generation?

We look forward to seeing you there.
