Globally, the case has been made for a scale-able, real-time, brand building media play and more advanced clients understand that they have a massive opportunity in their hands by harnessing the power of their first-party data.

However, confidence has been dented. According to data from the CMO Council, 59% of brands said they had problems with where and how ads were viewed, while 41% had concerns about ad fraud. The report, released late in 2017, found that 45% of brands had pulled spend away from digital or were planning to.
